Have you experienced a Spiritual Awakening? Let's find out together.

There has been a lot of talk since 2020 of people waking up and reporting spiritual awakenings. What does that even mean? What is a spiritual awakening anyway? Let’s break down the different spiritual awakenings that people are experiencing.
Are you spiritually awake or have you become psychologically aware? The events of 2020 and beyond have caused loads of people to “wake up”, realizing that they have been lied to and that things aren’t exactly as they’ve been told. En masse, this has not been a spiritual awakening for most, this has been a psychological awakening. As with a spiritual awakening, people have experienced a shift in their perspective and a greater ability to discern truth from well crafted lies. It has been exciting to witness people break out of the mockingbird media’s deception and start thinking for themselves. However, this new ability to recognize truth is not a spiritual awakening.

Ok, then what is a Spiritual Awakening?
A spiritual awakening begins by having the veil of materialism stripped from your eyes, or more specifically your third eye. Waking up to the divinity of self and in everything around you. Moving toward an innerstanding of your internal landscape, becoming self reflective and doing “the work”. Usually, there is a calling to align more consciously with the heart center with unconditioned and unconditional love.

This first crack of spiritual awakening usually causes a quickening in people. The soul starts to stir and a hunger arises to know more, to learn more. This is generally where the path of the seeker begins. Researching, investigating and participating in workshops, retreats, spiritual teachers, online groups and reading copious amounts of spiritual books and blogs.
This phase of external seeking may take years, decades or a lifetime. It is not uncommon during these early phases to see monumental changes in your life, social circles, attitudes and new beliefs. An entirely new realm has been opened to the seeker and it can be glorious. Collect those gemstones, participate in those retreats, workshops, healing circles and therapy sessions. Learn, grow, excavate, find your authenticity. It’s a deliciously wild ride.
What are the 5 types of Spiritual Awakenings?
Type #1 - Religious to Spiritual Awakening
It is not uncommon for people who have grown up in a religious framework to experience a spiritual awakening that is not based on religious doctrine. Religion offers a hierarchy and a system of beliefs and guidelines that everyone in the organization abides by. The system is set up where the participants must use a mediator (Pastor, Priest, Vikor, Rabi, Imam, Sheikh, Pope) to facilitate a relationship between themselves and a higher power (God The Father, Allah, Yahweh). Spiritual awakening brings the focus from an external higher power that requires devotion and shifts the focus toward an internal connection with the divine and one’s own sovereignty as a divine being. A fractal of source..
Type #2 - Traumatic Life Experience or NDE
A traumatic life experience or an NDE (Near Death Experience) can create a spiritual awakening. A traumatic life experience can shock someone out of their old conditioning and framework, opening them to look for deeper meaning and connections. Often, NDE survivors report that what they experienced on “the other side” was more real, more vibrant, more connected and more loving than anything previously experienced on the earth plane. The NDE survivor often learns of their life mission or realizes that they have been wasting their potential. This type of spiritual awakening can lead the experiencer to pursue a more loving, conscious, purposeful life.
"Enlightenment or awakening is not the creation of a new state of affairs but the recognition of what already is." ~ Alan Watts
Type #3 - Psychedelic Journey

Psychedelic journeys have created reality
shattering experiences that can result in dramatic shifts in a person. Psychedelics offer the opportunity to see and experience reality beyond the third dimension. Psychedelic journeys have allowed the seeker to connect with the divine, God, Source, The Sacred Mother, Angels, Guides, Spirit Beings and sometimes darker entities. These “trips” can initiate or deepen a seekers spiritual awakening journey. As an aside, please be sure to be mindful of set and setting when engaging in psychedelic journeys. Honor the trip for the sacred soul
journey plant medicine and other psychedelics can provide.
Type #4 - Spiritual Practice
Maintaining a consistent spiritual practice of meditation, breathwork or yoga can also be a pathway to a spiritual awakening. All of these practices can strip away the monkey mind and allow access to other dimensions of being and existence. The vibrational high a seeker can have from accessing the divine or connecting with their “higher self” can provide enough motivation to keep up the practice in hopes to experience that divinity again. Have you ever had that peak experience from a spiritual practice that was elevating, exhilarating that aligned you with your true nature and Source? It’s pretty damned unforgettable!
Type #5 - "Enlightenment"
The “Enlightenment” experience of spiritual awakening. The most misunderstood and misrepresented of all the spiritual awakening experiences. It is taught that you must achieve a certain level of self mastery and spirituality to experience “Enlightenment”, Nirvana or Samadhi. Bunk. Pure Bunk. An argument could be made that a certain level of self mastery can help maintain liberation after awakening but self mastery is not a prerequisite to experience Enlightenment.
The term Enlightenment itself is a misnomer. Awakening to your true nature is much more accurate. I suppose you could say that you become “enlightened” to the fact that you, the self you identified with, has never existed. When the identification with the self drops, it is seen that there is no one there to become “Enlightened”. In fact, the idea becomes belly laughing, tears streaming down your face levels of hysterical.
This Awakening to your True Nature can not be assured through a spiritual practice, a guru, a spiritual teacher or a retreat. The awakening to your true nature is given by grace. Once experienced, the byproducts are peace beyond all understanding, supernal compassion and actual unconditioned and unconditional love for all beings and of all existence. Everything is experienced as divine perfection in every moment.
